Time’s Third Death

It’s always a special occasion when something ascends to the point where it is tangible and, better yet, available for consumption. Today is one of those days. Killing Time – Horror E-Rag(TM) Issue 1-3 is now available from Battered Spleen Productions(TM). One of the highlights in this issue, if people want to see it that way, is the nastiest, sickest story you will see in the E-Rag, and that’s saying something. I can’t help but be reminded of Wes Craven commenting on The Last House on the Left and expressing some measure of regret for the content of the film and it’s vicious nature. There is an exception though, this story of mine, sick as it is, does not reach Last House levels and thus I can’t see myself offering any apology for it at any time, though time will only tell.
So, what else is in this issue? Well there’s another of the through the closet stories into the realms beyond. Those who have read Issue 1-1 know this as soon as they see the title "The Serpent Mother’s Grassland". I am very excited for the third instalment of the "Lizard of Hallucination" because it goes from the creep out of last issue to a full out assault on the reader. Enjoy the ride. If you have trouble sleeping tonight after reading it, you’re welcome. Also included in this issue is a look at spirits and ghosts in fiction. For note, in the "Letter From the Editor" I express my own personal feelings on the topic as it pertains to the real world. In addition, there is extra special art accompanying the franchise discussion of the Evil Dead trilogy. Be sure to check that out.
